In the meantime if you pm me your email address, I'll send you what I have. Quote
flash Posted January 5 Posted January 5 Original movement cards are not kept in the system due to copyright infringement issues, Mark, however, a number of pilots here have electronic copies I'm sure they'll be happy to send you Dave Quote
HauptmannHummel Posted January 7 Posted January 7 Being very new to the game I currently just have the starter set and yet to get some aircraft. Seems to be a bit tricky to find stock of aircraft in the UK and seems the 3D print route is a viable option. So Id greatly appreciate an electronic copy of what is required to get these 3D printed planes into the game. Quote
Teaticket Posted January 8 Posted January 8 I have all the decks scanned. Let me know which specific ones you need. PM me your email so I can send the scans. Quote
grimlin Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Hi, i'm a new member to this group. Also trying to convert my existing plane models to wog WW2 game. Could i be cheeky and ask someone tot share a pdf of the maneuver decks? Thanks:-) Quote
Flying Officer Kyte Posted January 9 Posted January 9 This is difficult territory Grimlin. The official maneuver decks are copyrighted by Ares and may not be circulated on this site. Rob. Quote
OldGuy59 Posted January 10 Posted January 10 The only option that I know of, that doesn't (quite) run afowl of Ares copyright, is this: Link-> WGS MATES WWII Cards Not exactly what you need for tabletop gaming, but it might help? 1 Quote

If you can source planes (Blood Red Skies, Shapeways, greatwarplanes.com, F-Toys (1/144), hand-made paper, etc). Then, you need a card, with the appropriate stats, a stand (Rival Sky Games, Litko), and a maneuver deck for each plane you acquire. Pegs for altitude changes, or different length rods for Litko stands, depending on what version of stand you acquire. If you can source Ares Plane Packs, all that stuff comes in one box. Quote
Flying Officer Kyte Posted January 10 Posted January 10 Hi Mike. If you ever get a bit of spare time could you do me an aircraft card for a FAA Fairey Swordfish Float Plane. I now have two painted ones thanks to Gunners but have no card nor stats for such. i am hoping to use them in an upcoming game in my Malta saga once I have time to get it started again. Rob. Quote
Flying Officer Kyte Posted January 11 Posted January 11 Thanks Steve. I tried taking a top down of my own aircraft that you gave to me but the flash cast such deep shadows it was no reall help. Rob. Quote
Jager Posted January 12 Posted January 12 I can't find any performance figures for the floatplane Swordfish. My first thought was to have it fly slow speed always, but since it was armed (both bombs and torpedoes), that might not be enough. Does anyone have any speed figures for this? Karl Quote
Flying Officer Kyte Posted January 12 Posted January 12 I should be able to supply those and contrast them with the ordinary Swordfish for you Karl. Rob. Quote

Flying Officer Kyte Posted January 14 Posted January 14 (edited) Its a cracker Mike. All I had were the ordinary cards done for Taranto. They of course have no rear firing arc either because they flew with extra fuel tanks where the observer would normally have sat, and so he had to move back into the rear gunners seat. I assume the rear gun was removed to facilitate the observers kit, radio etc and reduce weight to allow for the extra fuel tank and its contents. Edited January 14 by Flying Officer Kyte Quote

Jager Posted Thursday at 14:27 Posted Thursday at 14:27 OK, the C(Z) deck will do fine for the floatplane Swordfish; to be honest, the loaded speed of the Swordfish would be either the C(Z) or D(Z) decks. The D(Z) would probably be better, since the slow speed is higher, and I don't know the stall speed (slow speeds for the C(Z) is 77MPH, and the D(Z) is 109MPH). The unloaded Swordfish has a speed of 154 mph (246 km/h), which would be best as the M(Z) deck; however, then you lose the 45 degree turn. Not good. We are looking at a matter of 5mm after all. So if you want to give your unloaded Swordfish a bit of a nudge, go for it. All other stats can stay the same. Karl Quote
