  1. 1. How do you prefer your planes?

    • Ready to play right out of the box
    • Ready to play, but love a little touch up
    • I repaint, and I am proud of it
    • Plain Jane - give me a good base, and I will paint the rest
    • Preprint, because Ares does not have enough variety but painting is not my thing

I am now turning to printed models that I can paint because of the lack of variety from Ares, although my painting skills are deteriorating in keeping with the deterioration in my eyesight.

Strange, as the reason I first got into the game was because of the pre painted models, which gave me a break from painting my armies. I could nt answer the poll because none of the criteria really fitted my attitude toward painting and models. This fits the  most close, if you remove the last section," but painting is not my thing."

Ready to play. I know starting painting would be one way ticket to workshop table every night. It's also the reason why I have never been starting with Flames of War or Warhammer.

My best was shading my SoG collection.

I am a re/painter. Painting is the state of mind. Whatever paintjob is (repainting Ares models, painting resin ones or the 3D printed or WH/AoS models) it gives me a kind of nirvana - no joking.
When I paint I usually listen to podcasts or audiobooks - it is a joyful+ time just for me.
I own a LOT of outsourced painted planes, mostly resin ones. Recently reviewed the collection: Mosquitos, Hayabusas, Fw-190s, Ju-88s, Me-262s, Airacobras, Hs-129s and more...Sadly they have been grounded for so long...
Several years ago I also plunged into glueing and painting WH4K/AoS miniatures and found it a fantastic hobby, mostly because my very good friend from Rheine/Germany also turned out to be a devoted and a gifted miniature painter and a boardgamer. We meet each other several times a year, play and admire our figurines. Sometimes we even arrange challenges painting the same miniatures and let the painters' society vote. Well, you would not believe how far I have gone that way in recent years...

I'm a repainter, but not this year so far ☹️

I just can't seem to find the time & enthusiasm.

I'll happily play with/against straight-out-of-the-box minis, but I do prefer seeing my own efforts on the table.

I didn't answer this one because for me it's all of the above.

The convenience of pre-painted is great, but sooner or later, I want something that isn't available, or

to make it my own.
