schoon Posted January 3, 2020 Posted January 3, 2020 Hi Folks, As my wife is Finnish, I've always been interested in the Winter War and related conflicts from World War II. So, as a fun exercise, I'm positing the air conflict forward in time to create some modern-day scenarios. The initial "spark" to set the conflict afire seems fairly easy to achieve. Russia always enjoys "buzzing" US and NATO reconnaissance aircraft, so imagining a Russian intercept of a P-8A that escalates into shooting between Russian and Finnish aircraft - responding to assist a P-8A that was damaged in a collision from a "buzz gone bad" - is not too challenging. That would involve Finnish F/A-18Cs and Russian Su-27s of MIG-29s. Thoughts? Quote
BobP Posted January 18, 2020 Posted January 18, 2020 Sounds interesting. Do you have a set of rules you would use for jet combat ? Quote

I'm considering Check Your Six or home brewing some WoG-style stuff. IIRC, someone has already done something along those lines, but I haven't looked for it for ages... Quote
BobP Posted January 19, 2020 Posted January 19, 2020 I did see that CY6 has jet rules as does Aerodrome rules. The Aerodrome uses a hex movement system so a little different. Quote
