In the rules for Incendiary Bullets it states that an engine special damage card also causes smoke.
It also states smoke causes fire.
So does the engine automatically catch fire?
Cheers,
Michael

No, or it would state engine damage caused FIRE. The way you described it is the way it works: Engine Damage produces Smoke, DRAWN Smoke, produces Fire.
That is how I have always worked it.
Rob.
Me too
I concur with that, BB/BD rules state: 'When a shot from an airplane carrying incendiary bullets inflicts smoke special damage on an enemy plane, the damage should be treated as fire instead. When incendiary fire causes engine damage, the target plane also takes a smoke damage result, with the usual effects.'
A bit ambiguous but I take it that this means the usual effects of smoke damage rather than the enhanced effect.
As I see it, if incediary bullets cause engine smoke, next smoke would cause fire. Final point would be that incendiary bullets make fire and smoke appear easier then with ordinary bullets.
