Down on numbers, Wayne and I eeeeeee sorry Biggles Downunder and Baxter decided to have a two Se5's vs two Fokker DVII's dogfight. A dice roll determined the sides for each player and I ended up with the red and white Udet and the mainly blue Schafer. Biggles flew the Dallas Se5 and the Cecil Lewis RAF model Se5. I know some would say that it should have been two snipes but I think the Se5 is a good match too.
Anyway, Biggles split his planes up to get me from two directions, and I chose to keep my two as close together as possible to concentrate my fire. I am not sure who had the best tactics as I did have two collisions, one with my own planes and one with Biggles. However my tactics proved successful to start with. Exit Dallas in his burning plane!
Biggles was not pleased and his Cecil plane swept in to exact an explosive revenge.
After that it was just manno v manno as we twirled around the sky trying to get the drop on each other. By a fluke I happened to pick the right cards for our last movements and even though carrying very heavy damage emerged the victor.
Poor Cecil. Sagittarius will rise no more. A victory to the Huns.
By the way. As a salute to the long running question. How do You pronounce Cecil?
Suh-sill, or Cess-ill, or See-sill.
