  1. Hi Cap, the Catalina is a Shapeways 3D print.
  2. The nightfighter version was forward firing and could engage targets on the same level. That would be short range B damage, long range A damage. Not much compared with the Zerstörer All we need now are some Spitfire Mk.Vs and Messerschmitt 109Fs and we can play right through the 1941 Kanalkampf.
  3. Hallo Sven, The Blenheim Mk.IV had five .303 calibre machine guns, two in the dorsal turret, one in the port wing firing forward and two firing rearwards from a ventral pack under the cockpit aimed by the navigator using a periscope. The Blenheim Mk.IVF (and Mk.IF) night fighter did have five forward firing .303 machine guns, one in the port wing and four in a ventral pack under the fuselage where the bomb bay was usually located.
  4. As much as I would have preferred them to come out in Q4 2017 or even Q4 2018, and even though I already have three of each Ju-88's, Do-17's, Blenheim MkIVs and SM-79s from other sources I will still be picking up this set for the day when I again have time to get some planes on the table. (looks wistfully into the distant future)
  5. Yes an expensive release indeed, but I would have readily spend the money a year ago. They look good, a few touch ups required here and there but on the whole I am satisfied.
  6. I cannot offer specific advice regarding the UK, but on Saturday I learned from our Australian distributor the product is in Hong Kong awaiting shipment any day now.
  7. I believe they are supposed to be released in Q3 2019. If we get them by Christmas I'll be pleasantly surprised and ecstatically happy.
  8. Nice job Peter, thanks for sharing your decals.
  9. Since we're talking ammunition beers, here's an Aussie drop that's no longer in production: I have a personal link to this beer, almost 20 years ago I was selected for the focus group to taste and name the brand. Of course I couldn't pass up the 303 reference
  10. A great Kette of Fokkers there Tim, they look fantastic.
  11. I can't believe it is the end of January already, but the positive is we get Peter's OTT DYM mission in the next few days
  12. Announcement on the Ares website - https://www.aresgames.eu/22614 Looks like just the WW1 version at this stage.
  13. Thanks Peter great job! REP gun had a stoppage unfortunately
  14. Yes, Fokker Dr.1 425/17, the Rittmeister’s April 1918 mount he was flying when he fell.
  15. I don't have Jim Miller's book, but in the Osprey title 'Richthofen's Circus' Greg van Wyngarden says the serial number of the D.V he was flying when wounded on 6 July 1917 is unknown but it was probably the same aircraft (he) flew for his 57th victory four days earlier. Note the term 'probably'. Franks et al state for his victory on 2 July 1917 that "Von Richthofen was flying Albatros D.V No.1177/17." There are photos of that D.V the Rittmeister was flying when wounded and it does not appear to have a red fuselage (see below), so it is not likely to be 1177/17, which has been described in reports by friend and foe alike as overwashed in red. Who is correct? Franks has stated the Rittmeister did claim no.57 in 1177/17. Van Wyngarden stated the different D.V in which he was shot down on 6 July was 'probably' the same one he used to shoot down No.57. Without being able to check their primary sources I am giving more credence to Franks at this point. We can say von Richthofen flew 1177/17 from 23 June to early July 1917, so not long at all.
