  1. Congratulations, Tim! Totally deserved - your work is always inspiring:pint::pint::pint: All the best, Matt
  2. Lovely shots, to be sure, Steve! The Thunderbolt is one sweet monster... All the best, Matt
  3. Sorry I missed the bit about smaller images, Keith! No, I have not gotten double images with my posting of pictures - I think the only time I have had the 'blue box' around an image like above is when I have tried to delete a picture and didn't do it properly... Best of luck as your trouble-shooting continues:sAprvd: All the best, Matt
  4. Can you go to the 'edit post' button at the bottom of the post and then remove the 'boxed in' second photo, Rob, using the 'advanced edit' function? It seems to me I have done that sort of thing on the rare times pictures have been 'extra' in one of my posts... All the best, Matt
  5. I used Google on an HP Pavilion x360 Chromebook laptop. When I post pictures, I use the 'go advanced' button at the bottom of the message box. Like Peter, I used to be able to upload multiple pictures at a time, but that hasn't been the case for a while now - perhaps since the last big crash... I am used to doing them one-at-a-time;) I didn't have any issues posting pictures after our Saturday game session once the Forum was back up on Sunday. From the way this looks at the moment, I don't think it is going to 'double-picture' on me... Hope things get ironed out for those experiencing issue! All the best, Matt Interesting! The picture is much smaller than my uploads usually are! Hmmmm...
  6. This looks wonderful, Peter! I have been wanting to do some night fighting for quite a while now, and I think your rules will give me the excuse to move my He-219 and a couple of 110s and a Ju-88 into the painting queue... I have several Lancasters waiting to take to the evening sky. As a retired English teacher, I am often attacked by the errors you've corrected - they jump off the page at me, too, as with Pete. One of the proof-reading skills I used to try and get kids to use in the classroom was to read their essays/papers backwards - start with the last sentence and read it for mistakes, then go to the next-to-last, then the one before that, and work your way to the beginning. If you read start-to-finish, oftentimes you are reading what you thought you wrote rather than what you actually did write. The "its vs. it's" usage is a very common mistake, as are "your vs. you're" and "there vs. their vs. they're". But one of the great things about English is that you can make yourself understood/get your point across even when you do make these common mistakes. Splendid work putting these rules together! All the best, Matt
  7. Truly a gorgeous plane - glad we ended up with two pics of it on the thread. The black and yellow cowling tribute is nice to know about, too! All the best, Matt
  8. What a lovely game with splendid pictures, Tim! Looks visually stunning and like a lot of fun to play:) Lots of great ideas here, indeed... All the best, Matt
  9. I would agree that they look like Japanese flag kill marks...a bee-you-tee-full picture, to be sure! All the best, Matt
  10. Another stunner, FH! You never cease to amaze:sAprvd: All the best, Matt

    Wooden Rulers

I can probably hook you up at Origins, Tim - I have a handful of 'em. A couple of us in our group have the laser 'liners' that really help a lot in making sure targets are in or out of firing arc - I recommend them highly:sAprvd: All the best, Matt
  12. I guess there is a mild resemblance, Dave.... It turns out that was the team we were rooting for the in the 'big game'... All the best, Matt
  13. The Second Saturday snuck up on us (errr...me:p) and I neglected to get a notice up about our montly gaming plans...or perhaps the Forum being incapacitated for a couple of days was the reason? Yeah, I'll go with that excuse... In any event, six of us made the trek to Epic Loot on a snowy Saturday yesterday to gambol about the skies over the game table. We flew an American Bregeut and two escorting SPAD XIIIs aginst three Fokker DVIIs. The Bregeut made it all the way down the table, photographed its assigned target, and all the way back:sAprvd:, as well as shooting down two Fokkers! Well done, Rick! But they were only out of the fight for a turn before respawning and coming back for more. The Germans had the short end of the stick on this mission, in spite of the fact that only one Boom Card was drawn. Quite the even dust-up, all things considered. I find that getting used to the long straights and shallow curves of the SPAD takes some work - I must fly one more often. Our second game pitted Abatrosses against SPAD VIIs - again, the SPAD maneuver cards changed my attempts at dogfighting. This was a much more even fray, with us tangling for about an hour and a half with no one being shot down. Several of us found ourselves swanning about on the edges for a couple of turns trying to return to the fight - those rudder jams and pesky fire cards definitely throw a kink in the best-laid maneuver plans! This picture is representative of the second game - lots of milling about with little to average damage being caused. I am sure a couple of the other chaps will post better pictures to fill out the scene. Again, we are lucky to have a great group of folks to play with in our neck of the woods. It's always a fun time:sAprvd: All the best, Matt
  14. Beautiful work on those Valom Nieuports, Paul! You and Valom seem to get along just fine;) Keep that inspiration coming... All the best, Matt
  15. Then, too, Karl, if you are doing late-war planes, you have more leeway due to quality control issues, as well as fading and weathering. I would think as long as you are 'close' and like the way things look, you will be fine;) All the best, Matt
