Next question: What would the difference be between short and long range for these two planes, N1K1-J, with two 7.7mm MGs and two 20mm cannons, versus the N1K2-J with four 20mm cannons?

Mike, will you be willing to create an N1K1-J card with two 7.7mm MGs and two 20mm cannons: S: ACC L: C, 18 damage, using an F deck? And would you be willing to create an N1K2-J card with four 20mm cannons: S: CCCC L: CC, 18 damage, using an F deck? Please.

Does the increase in damage from 17 to 18 also apply to the N1K1?

Would the following stats be acceptable for a Kawanishi N1K2-J? Deck: F Damage: 17 S: CCCC L: CC

It does look darker in these pics. Photos were taken in low lighting using a new camera phone. It's the standard IJN green.

Thanks Mike for the heads up. I watched a few restoration, and walk-through videos of this beast before watching the live feed of it's final flight. I'm glad these two huge birds are going to be preserved in museums.

Time to revisit the Kawanishi N1K2-J. Was there ever a definitive answer for the maneuver deck? I have added one of these planes to my collection, and before I ask for a card to be made for it, I would like to see what the current prevailing opinions might be for choice of maneuver deck.

Karl, I hope your flooding issues weren't too extensive.

And, I'd like to make an apology to Mike in advance. I've been out of commission and preoccupied with life's surprises for the past few months, but still managed to add a few more planes to my collection. I will be submitting requests for cards for a number of them, as I get them organized, and photos taken. And I'll offer a thank you to Mike in advance too.
