  1. Spending Spree!

Oh Lord, do not let the better half see this post!

Because of my renewed interest in Wings of Glory, I have been buying items that continues to stoke my interest. My recent purchases are either directly related to Wings of Glory/War, or World War I reference materials. Over the last couple of months I have purchased the following:

    Planes
    Airco DH.2
    Aviatik D.I
    Breguet BR.14 B2
    De Havilland D.H.4
    Fokker Dr.I
    Fokker E.III ...
  2. And We Keep Growing...

Our little band of gamers grows here on the Aerodrome. Four of us now grace the forum, and I hope to recruit a few more. Seems like a truly grand place with lots of helpful and friendly members. Besides myself, Smitch, Adler64, and The G Dog are onboard. We are all longtime miniatures gamers, with Adler64 and The G Dog getting me hooked years ago at college (Miami University) where they were doing a micro armor game. I had been a boardgamer for a number of years before that, an older cousin ...

We had two mats and came in from one side each, with Adler and I moving north/south, Smitch

I hosted some of my fellow gameclub mates at my place yesterday for two games of Wings of War/Glory. We picked a scenario from Flight of the Giants to start..."Looking Down". I was able to secure the escort fighter, a trusty Sopwith Camel, while Scott S. took the Freidrichshafen G.III (we used the Gotha model to represent, and the G.III cards for stats. G Dog had the Fokker Dr.I and forum member adler64 flew the

  5. Luke and Lothar Have Arrived

Within the last week or so I have been able to buy a couple of planes (one from eBay and one from a member here)...Frank Luke and Lothar von Richthofen. I already have the Rahn Fokker Dr.I, and have shied away from the Red Baron Syndrome (similar to the Maus Syndrome of WWII), but wanted another strange looking Dr.I, so Lothar was going for a good price and has found his way into my small but slowly growing collection. And of course I just HAD to have another American plane as having only one ...
