Probably heresy, but if you are insisting on playing a masters tournament, could not some or most of it be run instead of the Ace of Aces on Sunday?

This is where we are at present, but obviously plenty of time to re-jig things. Need an update from the Sails guys as to what they have planned, as you can see plenty of space for games on the Friday afternoon, although appreciate a lot of folks are travelling on the Friday, but for those who are ready to go from 13:30 plenty of options, its your event so let me know what you want to play. Obviously I can add in some more Wings games but I also have an ever growing boardgame collection which I would be happy to bring down. If you have an idea of which slots you want across the weekend let me know and I will start to populate things (we've made a start on Taranto as you can see above)
Never Knowingly Undergunned !!
I can always drop to Taranto 2 and run something on the WW1 slot opposite, if there are no other takers...
Never Knowingly Undergunned !!
If Andrea is going to run the Tournament, then he will need to be in the first Taranto slot, so we will need to bump somebody to slot 2 (that isn’t running anything in slot 2)…
All fun and games.
Keep the requests coming in and I will do my level best to accommodate everyone

I’ll update that list as well, still quite a few who are still to confirm.

Yarp, same for me. I'm painting up a few planes for the air race. Team Guntruck - think Team Red Bull but sillier.
You are most welcome to munch away at the Brazilian (fnah, fnah). However, having been there three years in a row (and being done by them to the tune of £15 last year ) the boss and I will be trying pastures new this year. If all else fails it will be Taco Bell
And who knows, one day Jill will get her name spelled correctly on the list of runners and riders.......

The memorial wall must be what the brickies were knocking up the last time we were there. It will be good to see the finished article.

As there is no need to reset the Taranto table I envisage the game running continuously over the 4+ hours. Pilots can drop in out as and when.
Wave 1 is 12 aircraft (historical)
Wave 2 is 9 aircraft (historical)
Game mechanics will be basic with a torpedo/bomb munition respawn point on the table so multiple attacks can be flown by the same aircraft. (At present).
See you on the Dark Side......
Ello Peter. What's involved in "Da Plane Boss Da Plane?"
A game mostly over water where one side must rescue a special passenger from a disabled boat and bring him/her to the safety of Fantasy Island...or the opposite way around...or something different... One side will pick one of several objectives to accomplish and the other side knows something is up but doesn't know the actual objective.
There are still six spaces for players in wave two of Taranto. First come first served.

"let's go get them ... white mice !" (battlecry of the 1st Fighter Group, Army Air Force, Netherlands 1940)
Good news, looking forward to meeting up again
Great news Guus - see you thereFerry and hotel booked,
Shortly I will be ordering equipment and printing out sets of flight instructions for each pilot. So as not to over order I need to know who will be flying. The First Wave is now complete and I have two pilots for the second wave. this leaves six seats still going begging. If you decide to join in the second wave attack please let me know before July the first. After that late commers will have to take pot luck and will not get the goody bag and its contents.

OK So I'm now planning for the Saturday afternoon Doncaster scenario "There and Back Again". Going to be busy during much of July and do not want to leave things late, so am looking at the equipment I need to get ready now. I can take 14 players but given that number is unlikely I'll probably need to adapt the scenario to far fewer. It would be nice to know how many
With that in mind, would it be possible to have a chart showing which players want to join in with which games?
I'll start the ball rolling: Assuming there are places available (I am booked in for Taranto already) -
Friday - Boardgame (I think I can be there in time) Don't yet know what's on offer so shall choose when info posted.
Saturday 9.15 to 11.15 Table 3 - Taranto
Saturday 11.30 to 1.30 Table 1 Anniversary Cardgame
Saturday 14.00 to 16.00 Table 1 I'm running "There & Back Again"
Saturday 16.15 to 18.15 Table 1 "De Plane Boss de Plane"
Not sure who usually sorts this but thanks in advance
Chris publishes a list as soon as he starts to get takers.
As Taranto is a bit special and my outlay has been very large, I had to know numbers because I still have a lot of orders to process and a lot of bits to buy in that I do not wish to over order unless I know how many players I have. If any apply after the start of the next month they will have to take pot luck in the second wave, after 11.15. after first of July I will ask if any first wave players would like to stay on and take part in the second wave part of the game.

Thanks Wing Co.
A Martin Maryland overflew Taranto this morning and took some recon photos. I will post them on as soon as the backroom boys have messed around with them. I even got a shot of the Maryland from A Hal Far Walrus that was also in the vicinity. The first man to make a wise crack about a versatile mammal will be on a fizzer.
