Book Title: Barbarossa - The Air Battle: July-Dec 1941
Author: Christer Bergstrom
ISBN: 9-1-85780-270-2
Category: History
Format: Hardback
Summary: 144 pages, A4.
The title pretty much covers the content, it's absolutely packed with details of the fighting on the various fronts during the operation however, it's drier than the driest extra dry martini drunk in a dust bowl. There's no details about the aircraft themselves although there's plenty of photos throughout the period. There's little to no explanation of the structure of the VVS, or luftwaffe for that matter, so if, like me, you don't know the difference between an IAP, ShAP, TBAD or IBAP then you'll struggle.
Having said all that I think this a great reference work to support other material, just not much good for bedtime reading.
