I'm still working on filling mine; I guess that last summation total will be a shock.
Karl
Less than 25: Just starting out; looks like a good game
25-49: Starting to get into this game; I think it’s a keeper.
50-99: That’s good, no more for me: wait, is that a new series release coming up!
100-199: I think I’m getting serious; Maybe make some room in storage.
200-299: Bad news: WoG anonymous sent me literature;
300-499: Hangers full; time to build a new aerodrome!
500-999: Serious storage problem here; good news: you’re ready for almost any scenario!
1000+: I guess I like this game!
I'm still working on filling mine; I guess that last summation total will be a shock.

I'm not close to Karl but I've got my share...
I just broke the 200 mark (I'm at 210) in acquiring some dozen or so WW2 planes a friend wanted to trade - that 210 is majority Nexus/Ares, with a few F-Toys, New Ray, and Shapeways planes thrown in for good measure. Eighty percent of them are WW1 - it will always be my favorite period...
I shall acquire more, I'm sure...
All the best,
Matt
The counting's done (I hope; thinking I have a couple He-111s hiding somewhere):
Nexus/Ares WW1: 318
Nexus/Ares WW2: 252
Shapeways (not counting "targets" like Bugs and V-1s): 142
Models and F-toys waiting to be built: 38
Resin: 21
Skypilot diecast: about a dozen, I think (They're packed in a couple places)
So official planes: 570
Outsourced planes: 214+
Total: 784+

So, I have 75, Karl has 784+. I'll try to tell to Jitka: "Honey, do you see this little plane? OK, now imagine 10 instead of 1."
Outstanding numbers, Karl. You have your own (Ch)Air Force!
Hmmm, about 125 of all sorts...I think. I really need a better system of organization.
Not sure when I broke the 100 official planes barrier, but it was prior to the most recent release.
Latest count:355
WGF 140
WGS 215
Wish list WGS 58.
See you on the Dark Side......
Do not boast about the number of planes you have purchased! Many a divorce .............
Over 300 all WW1. I have 60 French aircraft.
Almost 350 official WGF and WGS, more than 150 unofficial aircraft.
500 aircraft at a conservative average of $15 each collected over 8 years + cost of attendance to several interstate and local gaming conventions = .....MONEY WELL SPENT!!
Up to 60 smaller planes now, 3 bombers, a barrage balloon, and 4 shapeways frames...and still adding.
last count im up to 100 wgf, and 60 wgs. finally got around to some sensible storage as well.
With my last BoB purchase I am now up to 133 WGS and 105 WGF. Total 238 with a few more I'd like to get.
I know I won't be getting the complete set of WGF that is soon to be released but I might get a couple.
What the real number or how many I tell SWMBO
I'm learning to fly, but I ain't got wings
Coming down is the hardest thing
I changed my status to:
"100-199: I think I’m getting serious; Maybe make some room in storage."
How did you change your status? I need to move up a category................
I laugh in the face of danger - then I hide until it goes away!
Holy COW! About 120 WGF (1 Nexus, everything else ARES) and 30 WGS (all BoB related). It's funny how the actual numbers sneak up on one so swiftly and unsuspectingly! Had it not been for this poll, I never would have guessed...
I don't have either a Schaeffer D.VII nor a Brumowski D.III. I do have all the rest in WGF, with a dozen repeats repainted.
Plus 200+ Shapeways. And a half dozen F-toys.
I haven't had an WGS game for 3 years though.
OK, Update
All WWI planes
WOW 17
WOG 45
Bombers 3
Balloon 1
Shapeways 11
I have not counted lately but I would say around 300 WW1 & WW2 even after a recent cull. But as I have been playing this game for at least 6 years what can you expect. but I do have 10 of Clippers models
137 WWI planes from Wings of Glory and Wings of War and 8 Shapeways being painted 5 F-Toys planes Total of 150 planes.
This poll is 5-1/2 years old.
Might be time for an update ...
Mine appears to be about triple of the high end of what I originally voted (which was the 100-199 range)
Let's not resurrect this poll.
Occasionally, SWMBO does browse through the Forum, and even I don't want to know the level of my addiction, let alone provide someone with ammunition about how much room I have taken up in the house and garage with 'junk'.
PS: A poll might include Tripods, as well as BSG ships and accessories, if we really want to light off a domestic conflagration.

My collection has grown somewhat as well.
Maybe we need a poll on cubic footage stored

Now up to 160 of various sorts.....
No count, but as of right now I'm only missing the T&T Starter Ni.16 for one of everything WWI, and for WWII I have one of everything except the Squadron Packs, which are each two-or-more. This includes the house, the storage unit, and my stash waiting to ship at Miniature Market.
I've at least two of everything WW1, now including the Gold and Silver Specials, but like DB above I lack the Tripe-pods Nieuport 16.
WW2, no idea. Sporadic scatter-shot purchases when planes become available at good prices (my first two P-47s arrived today, less than £10 each BNIB) and a couple of large collections purchased but not yet absorbed.
I need a decent spell of time to try to organise a count, but that would detract from much-needed painting time.
I laugh in the face of danger - then I hide until it goes away!
I have ~ 100 WWI and ~130WW2 that I've painted, Shapeways, AIM and ARES repaints. I have ~one of each release with 2-10 extras here and there when I can get them on the cheap.
Like Tim, no real count as that would take up painting time!
Both Schaeffer and Brunowski acquired a while ago.
I've lost count.

It's looking like a paltry 245 for WGF currently. Now we're down to mostly hard-to-get items, but fun adding Shapeways. Lots of work in the queue!

(Plane Stats by Points tab)
I would hardly call 245 "paltry"
360 WGF for me though.
I've lost count. Worst, I found my last few purchases were not entered into my inventory spreadsheets
I may just wait for surprises.

You are a brave man Chris. I'm afraid to count.
A spreadsheet takes away the drudgery of counting.
265 WGS
Stuck at 103 now (all WW1)... I'm obviously letting the side down
Never Knowingly Undergunned !!
I quit counting.
WGF = 700
WGS = 209
I can quit anytime.
