The Lincolshire - Bastion in the Air Exhibit at R.A.F. Scampton.
On Friday 6th April a replica D.H.2 scout flew into R.A.F. Scampton to mark the opening of the Bastion in the Air Exhibition. A reconstruction of a W.W.1 airfield has been assembled in a hanger, which includes the D.H.2, a Rumpler C.VII reconnaissance aircraft and s Sopwith Camel 'under construction'. The exhibition is open until 31st August 2018.

Is it open all days or only at weekends?
All visits have to be booked at least two weeks in advance to allow for security checks to be made and you have to take photo-id with you (preferably a passport) because R.A.F. Scampton is an operational base.
