Very nice!
I rarely use mine, since it is fairly tough. Hard to believe this baby had a whopping great hole in the side of the fuselage. Thank the gods for putty.

A set of very well executed models there chaps.
I feel a need to produce one of these in the not too distant future.
Rob.
Nice!
Another very well executed piece of work Michal.
Where did you source your numbers and letters, or are they produced to go with the kit?
Rob.
Rob, they are produced to go with the kit, yes.

This is a Junkers J.10 CL.I based on a drawing on the inside front cover of "The Junkers Monoplanes" Number 187 which is part of a series of booklets on various aircraft. The caption on the drawing states: Junkers J.10 CL.I, 12921/18 was thought to operate with the Geschwader Sachenberg from the Peterfeld airfield operating over Kurland (Lithuania) in early 1919. Profile Publications Ltd, Leatherhead, Surrey, England, c.1967.
The little bit of history I found is that the Kampfgeschwader Sachsenberg was a reconnaissance and combat operations unit formed from WW1 German pilots tasked to contest Russias attempt to conquer Lithuania and other Baltic states. In February 1919 they took over fifteen Junkers J9 fighters (DI) and fifteen J8 (CL.I) two-seaters. In addition, they obtained Fokker D.VIIs and Rumpler C.IVs.
This is a Shapeways model by WoW; pilot and observer by Reduced Aircraft Factory; paints by Humbrol and Testors; decals by Miscellaneous Miniatures.
Good to see this thread get some attention
Looks great, Craig! REP
Nice job, Craig.
I have a couple SWs Cl.Is to paint up sometime.
I did read somewhere that the Kampfgeschwader Sachsenberg found the Junkers particularly useful, since they could be parked outside without ill effect,
saving looking for building to use as hangers.

Nice job! Love the camouflage pattern!
I’ve always thought these look very cutting edge for a WW1 aircraft. More like an inter war machine. Beautiful craft all the same.
