Thread: Udvar-Hazy Center, National Air and Space Museum

  1. #1

Default Udvar-Hazy Center, National Air and Space Museum

Oops. I was going to post these a year ago, and since there’s a reminder right there from someone a Little More Timely Than Me. In my defense, I posted lots of these at the time on the Wings of Glory Facebook page at the time.

These are from my Google Pixel 6. I’ll have to go search the laptop for the ones from my DSLR. Both have been upgraded in the last year (Google Pixel 8 Pro, and Sony A58 to Sony A68 - because all the lens and bodies are cheap). Let’s see if I can this Google Drive to work since doing this on the phone rather than the big iPad Pro is a lot harder…

And got lost halfway through. So, I’ll just post what I have, sift through them to see what I missed, and hopefully remember to come back ne de them in. Yup. Missed some. Detective work to track it all down.

EDIT IN: Second set posted below.

This P-47 was absolutely glorious. Just Kaddy-korner to the beat-up, unrestored Komet (and across from Glamorous Glennis), this beast was just eye candy to look at.

Great pics. I was at Omaka Aviation Heritage Museum a couple of weeks ago. Always nice to look at something older than I am.

And found them, but since they are jumbled all together with the previous downloads from my phone to my iPad (Android and Apple are not the most transparent of photo swaps), I kinda have to guess which ones I included before, so if there are duplicates…maybe I’ll figure it out and delete them. Maybe not.

They tend to be carefully arranged so you can’t touch them. Sticking my arms beyond the barrier gets me that much closer, but that’s more a function of getting the shot I’m looking for. The Pixel 6 only has a lower rez ultra-wide, and a high rez wide (my new 8 Pro has high rez telephoto, wide, and ultrawide). The dslr (which I still have to go through the laptop to find the photos there) has a f/2.8 zoom that was generally fast enough to deal with the lighting and I didn’t have to use sneaker-zoom so much. But always move your feet - there’s a better shot where that other guy is standing talking to his son…wait…patiently…yeeha, they moved!
