    Default My workbench

I haven't posted any photos in quite some time. These are photos of some of the planes I have been working on for some time.

    First up some C-47's.

For some reason I did one for the French.

Decals are from MISCMINI and the planes are form Mikej. I really like Mike's planes.

    Carl,
I have an idea for the C-47's based on the movie OBJECTIVE BURMA. The transports are being escorted to their drop zone when Japanese fighters jump them. I have a back story for this but that is the short version.

So here is the other German floatplane I have. But first the story behind it.
I didn't realize how big this plane was. When I asked Mike to print one for me I asked for 3. I was lucky to get this one (THANKS MIKE). I have to take a photo of this with the C-47 and Ju 52.

    Attachment 334854
Here it is and nothing special about it. When I was looking at photos a few had RED CROSSES on them. They were used to rescue downed pilots but, the Brits said they were doing something different so would shoot them down.

Yes Mike that is for a minesweeper unit. I thought they may have a seaplane. I was also trying to figure out how to mount the circular antenna under the plane.

I never saw the Filipino 'roundel' for their aircraft. Very nice.
Now thinking about how to paint my peashooters

Great Peashooters Bob. Have you flown them? Maybe next Fall In we'll have to do a Philippine battle.

    Carl,
The "roundel" was the overpaint of the US markings. It was transferred to the Philippine AF. I forget where I saw the photo but I thought it was something different.
I have to take photos of my US ones.
