There is a report on The Miniatures Page that David Manley has suffered a stroke and is in hospital for assessment. I am sorry to see this and I know all of you as well as myself will wish him a full and speedy recovery.

    Get well soon Dave.

What a terrible bit of news, do we know which hospital?

That's awful news. Let's hope it isn't too serious and that the recovery period is short. Hopefully our best wishes can be conveyed to him. Here's to you David

Not a good piece of news. Wishing you a speedy recovery David. Thoughts to you and family.

Other than what I said in my original post, there was no other information. Interestingly, the TMP post seems to have been removed.

All the positive vibes I can gather are being sent Dave's way!

I'm hoping for the best possible outcome, if Dave did have a stroke, but mostly I'm wishing the event is reported in error.

Dang. Hoping this was a false alarm (though the take down was probably for privacy reasons).
    Praying he recovers quickly.

Thanks DB, I was wondering if he's part of one of the WhatsApp groups here in the UK, though I don't suppose he'll be able to access his phone whilst in hospital.

Apparently Dave is out of hospital and posting on Facebook... but I can’t confirm this.
If anyone can get a message to him to let him know we are all thinking of him, that would be great. (I don’t have FB)

I’ve been speaking to Chris (Boney10) and he has exchanged a few words with Dave via Facebook. He is indeed out of hospital and is doing as well as can be expected. Looks like being a lengthy recovery period though.

I'm so pleased to read that Dave is back at home to continue his recovery.
Strokes come in all shapes and sizes - in my hospital career I've seen most of them. I'm really glad that David is making such good progress that he's out of hospital already.
    Keep on getting better, David!
