So I came across roc-works on Facebook via the blood red skies crowd and ordered a couple of bits to see if they were any good as AIM can be very expensive after shipping and taxes.
I ordered a pair of Hellcats and a trio of PZL P.11s (£20 plus shipping). First impressions are pretty good.
They came superbly packed in custom foam trays.
The PZLs we're a dark grey, glossy, slightly translucent resin print whereas the Hellcats were a much lighter, opaque and Matt grey.
Detail on both types was excellent, particularly the panel lines on the Hellcat. The PZL even had a proper pilot.
Whilst print contours were visible, they were much smaller than I've seen on shapeways resin prints and barely detectable on the Hellcat.
My only significant issue is that the Hellcat wings seem to have twisted slightly during print or. There is significant wash-out that isn't there on the real aircraft (note angle of pic exaggerates this further).
On the whole I'm very impressed with the quality for the price.
They are nice... the hobby is irrevocably changing
Never Knowingly Undergunned !!
Not a bad price either, given they come in a foam tray. Glad they are also offering stl files for home printing.
Run for your life - there are stupid people everywhere!
That is very impressive Mark.
Thanks for the Heads up.

Shipping to the States isn't bad either.
Worth looking for gaps in AiM's inventory.

A great source for planes! I second Karl, I see a few that AIM hasn't done so will come in handy when I need one of those.
Those look really good.
Might give them a shot.
But I need to learn how to paint cockpits ...
No, please no, don't get me started on another supplier...
I laugh in the face of danger - then I hide until it goes away!
Thanks Kevin for the original post and Mark for resurrecting it.
These look very promising, unfortunately the last time I checked postage on the AIM ones was quite expensive to the UK regardless of whatever is happening with tax.
I'm very keen to get the Buffalo's they are so squat and ugly, to the point of beauty.
