My v.3 scenario revision herewith for the Protect the Balloon game on Saturday morning.
Revised Scenario for the ‘Protect the Balloon’ game at Doncaster 2019 v.3
A British observation balloon is in contact with 2 off - board artillery units and is ranging them in on two
Enemy target sites.
The aim of the British airplanes is to protect the balloon until it has accomplished its mission. If the Balloon is able to make a controlled descent having enabled the Artillery to take out both targets the British players will have won the game.
The aim of the German airplanes is to shoot down the balloon and thereby save the two target sites from total destruction. If the balloon is shot down the German players will have won the game but will be deducted points if either or both Artillery targets are destroyed.
Scoring will be as per the GM instruction sheet.
The artillery will be controlled by the GM who will apportion damage to the target sites which will each have a 25 damage point value.. Once ranged in hits are automatic.
British will be flying Camels and Snipes with a Britfit backup for re-spawn..
Germans will be flying Focker D.VII and Albatros DVa and may re-spawn as Siemens-Schuckarts.
The Balloon site is surrounded by a number of anti-aircraft defences which will be operated by the GM. Beware, AA guns and Machine guns are notorious for shooting at anything that flies!
I've recently bought Aeronautica Imperialis - basically Warhammer 40k air combat.
I'm hoping to have to have the base game models built and painted in time for Donny.
If I bring it along, would anyone be up for a game on the Friday?
I want ask home pilots if someone would be so kind and lend me several Stukas (4-6) and one or two Bf.109. I should bring gaming mat and 6x Avia B.534 with me, but I am trying to minimize my backpack as much as possible (to bring some lovely candies to my honeys at home)
Same problem here.
Chaps, my T&T scenario project is done and has been sent to Chris for verification.
I see I will need help with the stuff for it, that means:
1) at least 2 tripods (3 will really fit the bill), Locust (preferred), or a mix force, with their manoeuvre cards, action cards, rulers, energy tokens and A,B,C damage cards from the starter set.
2) 2 old Nexus mats (east and west); these mats are very important because of the river and the game scale.
3) WoG A and B/B firing planes British and German, but hope there will be plenty of them all around plus usual tokens, smoke & fire, jam markers etc.
I am kindly asking you to provide all of the above .

@Andrzej: In case of need, I can ask Kubajs about lending some Tripods and take them with me.
"We do not stop playing when we get old, but we get old when we stop playing."
OK, just text me in case of need.
Wonderful! Thank you, sir
I laugh in the face of danger - then I hide until it goes away!
For Sails game second session Saturday, I have a scenario in mind, fleet type action, 6 ships per side, will post a scenario on Sails forum.
Ships will be 64’s and large frigates

May I put my name down for the following, please:
Friday afternoon: The Fall of Doncaster 1918 (Tripods & Triplanes)
Saturday Session 1: The Last Hurrah of the Golden Pheasants (WGS)
Saturday Session 2: Suffren v Hughes 1 (SoG)
Saturday Session 3: The Flight of the Giants (WGF)
Sunday morning :Ace of Aces.
Is there anything that you would like me to bring with me equipment-wise, please?
Hi All,
The list of games for WGS (table 2) is still showing a blank for the after lunch slot.
I have contacted Chris to say I will bring FW190A3s, Spitfire VBs and IXs for a basic dogfight over Dieppe (same altitude rules as last year).
However, I am currently off work with a bad back, and I am not sure if I will be able to drive for over an hour to get to Doncaster!
I do hope things improve, but it is now a case of if you see me I made it.
Lest we forget
Because Chris has been busy at home he is now doing a game Saturday 3 only.
I have extended my Basque Roads to fill session two. It is in two separate days action, so you are welcome to join in for part two if you so wish.
Have a look at the last post here for the plot.

Oh, I miss your post, Tim! Reg was really kind and offered me some of his stuff. I hope I will do a deeper check what I need for my game and coordinate it with both of you.
My plan is bring an original gaming mat (real place we visited with Mike and Donna this year), so probably no mat needed "thankyou:
Reg, Tim, can I ask you about 4 standard Stukas? That should be enough.
See you all in the bar 21.00 tomorrow
