Hey everybody. I've been having trouble coming up with a name for the Junior Squadron and would love any input/ideas that you may have. If you see a name come up that you like, feel free to say something.
Thanks,
Hunter

Junior in what sense? A squadron for the younger pilots in your area, or are they merely a new squadron? Is there a name for the "Senior" Squadron?
There was a national group of young aircraft modelers and enthusiasts back in the '30s called "Junior Birdmen." I don't think anyone is using it now. It would have kind of a retro appeal.
There was a song "Up in the Air, Junior Birdmen", but I think it was just a sarcastic song used taunt new members of the army air corps in WWII.

Surely, the Penguins....
At least I tried to keep it clean. Besides, that little Fokker was flying an Albatros....
I'll think about it and let you know!
BenZee, Jr. Pilot
Fledgling, Merlin or Kestrel (small raptors), Noobs. I like the other ideas too.
I'd watch the saucy comments, gents! If these other Jr. pilots fly like Le Sabreur, and I'm sure they do, they'll shoot you down for not showing proper respect!
How about "Junior Eagles?" Just to give it a little more flair than "Birdmen."
Or, if you feel a bit sillier, J.A.T.O. (Junior Airborne Terrors Organization)?
Keep it simple, how about the "Flight Cadets".
or the Air Cadets (we have them in the uk).
Cheers

Ye the good old ATC (Air Training Corp) I used to be a member and we even had a song, I would repeat it here but Davezee said to watch the saucy comments.
On the Air Cadet route the trainer they fly in is called the Bulldog if you can incorporate that
What about incorporating the word Chick ( I mean baby bird) or if going for the central powers the word Junge (I think thats right but my German is a bit rusty)

What about Des Adolescents Escadrille? French meaning Adolescent Squadron. Might need to get one of our French speaking members to double check that.
Sad thing is, the members of our "Junior Squadron" are much closer to the age of the actual WWI pilots than are alot of us old guys.
I like the Young Guns title.
Flying Tiger cubs.

Uhm....my brain is smoking.....
but I think Merlins or Kestrels should be OK.
Maybe Sparrows also...I like raptors! It's my passion since I was very young

Well there's already a 'Young Eagles' group here
http://www.youngeagles.org/
They should really be called by the correct term 'Eaglets' and there's always the Sopwith names of 'Babies' and 'Pups' depending on age. Teenagers could be 1 1/2 'Srutters'
