Thanks for the response. Any suggestions as to what type of paper to use? Regular or photo paper?

I have never tried out photo paper. I used slightly thicker laser printer paper, 120 g/m2.
To make the model more rigid, I built it around a structure as depicted in the thread of the Macchi 200

If this is your first paper project in this scale, I would suggest to do several partial test builds with different paper types to figure out what works best for you.
