Has anyone encountered problem with publishing his/her profile album according to the contest rules? Herr Oberst PM - no pictures - while I can clearly see them in my Profile Album. I am afraid we are gonna face that "Bomber Contest" virus again...
"We do not stop playing when we get old, but we get old when we stop playing."
I created the Profile album with pics but will send a separate PM with BB codes as you suggest Dave. Thanks!

I'm afraid I was not very clear in my response to Andy's PM. I could see them in his album, but needed them embedded in the entry PM sent to me....
With all of the entries, it’s too hard for me to keep track of which plane goes with person and not get something mixed up. With everything in a single PM for each entry, it’s super easy (and quick) to just go through the PMs and build the voting thread from them.
Thanks for everyone’s understanding on this part of the process.
Now it's hopefully done the right way, Keith. [It is right, yes? ]
With such a growing number of entries you must have a real headache sorting them.
"We do not stop playing when we get old, but we get old when we stop playing."
Yep, we're all good now!
well i just submitted my entry. hopefully i was able to successfully follow instructions
3 days to go... how many entries are there, herr Oberst?
If you give me a list of pilots/jastas (though not who entered them) after the contest closes I can make a post with photos, profiles and historical data to give background.
Better hurry!PMs must be received by midnight (site time) on January 31st.
All done. In the end I entered my reserve model but I don't know if I've done the right thing.
Time will tell.

Though my modeling skills aren't, I can recognize pretty. Looking forward to the judging and voting stage!
I faced true ordeal with mine... Everything what possibly could go wrong - actually went wrong... Including almost finished Fokker falling down, destroying previous work. So, I will not enter my first choice, but something other - repaint of the repaint. With some luck, I'll finally post my entry on Saturday
Entry finally submitted
Yea! One more passes the finish line! Any more out there? Godspeed to you all!
I hope Jelena will finish her plane soon, so she'll take part too.
Soon
Well finally finished the little beast this afternoon. Making a pilot from Milliput and then painting and fitting him into the plane was not as easy as I thought it should have been, but why I'm surprised at that I don't know as nothing has been easy with this project.
Fool that i am I have now got back onto the second model but with some experience gained from the first I'm hoping for a better build. I will not paint (and Wing Decal) this one first before assembly.
Got my entry off to the Oberst this afternoon so worries about missing the deadline were, after all, unfounded. Still, a close run thing!

Submitted
Finisched the repainting plus just a little bit of aeging to camouflage and minis, photographated and sent.
Please Keith send me a check.
Thanks a lot
Carlo
This promises to be a truly epic contest. While there will be many like me who are just in it for the fun, some of the entrants are masters of the modeller's art, and it will show.
I don't know the server time relative to GMT, but local time is 2305 on 31st of January so not long to go.
Glad to see lots of people finishing up!
And for a time check for everyone, it is currently 0611 server time. Check that against when the site says I made this post and you can figure out the deadline time.
Good luck everyone!
Repainting is really interesting thing. I need to finish some Finnish planes (decals, cards etc). And hopefully new Shapeways order arrives just in time to fill the gap.
Sounds like a lot of entries this is going to be a great contest. Good luck all we are going to see some great repaints.
Nothing like waiting until the last day to apply decals - only to have them disintegrate... I guess that shows me who's boss, eh?!! I shall have to Dullcote the decals for my next attempt, but I think that won't be in time to get this little Fokker in in time for the contest. Ah, well, it will be lovely to see all those that do make it and try and decide on my favorites.
Congratulations to all of you who did not wait until the last minute to finish things up!!
All the best,
Matt
Matt56... What a pitty...
I feel your pain - I had similar experience... Try to put decals on and join the contest. Beat the little devils
I know, Sven...it's my fault for dawdling, not the decals... - always a good lesson to have reinforced
All the best,
Matt
The sun complied, so I managed to get my submission in...
Well, I believe "11th hour" was part of the theme...
And my lesson learned from this exercise is that next time I'm going to use a decal-intensive scheme in a contest I'm going to beg use of a friend's color laser printer. The injket decals were far to delicate, even after 6 coats of sealer. I'm sure I'll change my mind after I see the competition, but right now I feel I would've had a real chance to place had I more waterfast decals that I could've treated more aggressively.
Finally finished. Now waiting for the super gel to dry so I can take the photos and submit. tick.....tick.....tick.....
Loaded mine up today after tea-time. Got the model and the decal sheet before christmas, but had to wait with the project until two days ago, because we have moved over the new year and furnishing the hobby room was the last item of the to do list...
Girls&Guys,
how many entries by now?
Good luck everyone. I'm looking forward to seeing the results of your efforts.
