I love the searchlight and flares effects on the game table. Did the searchlights provide any kind of bonus for the Italian anti-aircraft fire?
Searchlights were a simple draw from the A chit bag.
1. Any special damage and the searchlight found a target.
2. Subsequent moves required a draw from the A chit bag again and anything 2+ maintained contact.
3. If target lost go back to step 1 and repeat process.
4. AA could not fire on any aircraft not illuminated. If illuminated then it was a 2+ from the A chit bag to hit and damage drawn from the D bag.
5. I did not have any of the ships use their AA capability or searchlights as I deemed the fleet being in a friendly harbour the crews would have been ashore, sleeping off a night on the town or just asleep.
6. Torpedo planes could not engage any target not lit up by a flare. Hence the silhouettes for both sides of the ship.
Note: Once Bolzano blew up I deemed that all ships in harbour were silhouetted.
You must be a mind reader Neil.
I was hoping for a chance to get those down.
Copy duly made.
